67 STYLED SHOOT P hotographer Emmylou Kelly of Vanitas Life, was working at Dorfold Hall as wedding coordinator at the time of this shoot. “The Hall was undergoing renovations, including the creation of a beautiful ensuite with free-standing bath for one of the guest bedrooms. I wanted to make a feature of this and devised the concept of a milk bath,” she explains. Emmylou approached Jo Bradbury Photography to shoot the project, while she took on the roles of second shooter and art director herself. “Jo picked some beautiful dresses and lingerie to complement the location and we were thrilled with the exquisite set of images we created. With references to Sir John Everett Millais’ painting of Ophelia, the shoot had a nod to fine art, and was like nothing we’d ever shot before.” The pair worked with local florist Jacqui O Florals, a personal favourite of Dorfold’s owners. Regulars at the Jacobean hall, make-up artist Sarah Dunn, and hair stylist Vicky M, were also brought on board to complete the team.
