89 LIP SERVICE From lip liners to scrubs, how to get the perfect pout OLEHENRIKSEN Lucky Pucker Lip Scrub, £12, Boots stores and Boots.com I was expecting a course, granular product but it’s more of a balm gently moisturising with shea butter and the exfoliating effect provided by apple fibre and sugar. Over the course of a week my lips were left smooth and soft! – Demelza Rayner Lipstick Queen Dusty Rose Liner, £18, spacenk.com I tested this lip liner on holiday and can confirm it’s a honeymoon must-have! The sleek, slim design is ideal for travelling, and the shade works with similar lipstick colours and bolder tones. I used it over a coral colour to soften the shade which looked great. It glides on and when blotted, stays put for ages. When this one runs out, I’ll definitely be buying it again! – Claire Ridley Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm with SPF, £2.49, Superdrug and Boots This soothing balm is a real life-saver. Easily absorbed and non-sticky, it gave my chapped lips a much- needed moisture boost and has the added benefit of sun protection too. Not only great for a kiss-proof pout, it’s kind to your purse too! – Sarah Reeve Beiteddine Naked Lipstick and Refillable Lipstick Cases, £7.08/£6.63, lush.co.uk I love this for multiple reasons, not only is the formula creamy, pigmented and lightweight but also comes in a refillable lipstick case, resulting in less plastic being used – extra brownie points from me! The deep lilac and rose shade is close to my normal lip colour meaning I can wear it anytime and anywhere, building up the coverage for a bolder look. – Olivia Gibson Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick, £23, arbonne.com I wanted to try Arbonne’s Smoothed Over Lipstick because it’s vegan- and cruelty-free and also brimming with natural ingredients – no nasties to dry out your skin. I tried the Poppy shade, which is an on-trend vibrant hue. It glides on like a balm but packs a punch with colour. The glossy look can also be blotted for a more matte finish so it’s super-versatile. Most importantly, it nourishes and smooths as you wear it – no chapped lips here! – Hannah Faulder Bioderma Atoderm Moisturing Stick, £5.50, lookfantastic.com I suffer from dry lips and generally avoid using balms as I find them sticky and uncomfortable. I’ve been using it for just over a week now and already my lips feel healthier, and although the product is moisturising, it doesn’t feel heavy. It lasts for hours and a little goes a long way. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a little lip TLC.  – Melissa Barker Enrich & Enhance Lip Primer Neutral £13, greenpeople.co.uk I have never used a lip primer before but this has completely changed my make-up routine! The new organic formula is super-hydrating and gave the lip-colour, also by Green People, all-day longevity – a wedding day essential! Blended with candelilla, carnauba and beeswax it prevented fading or bleeding and certainly nourished as it’s the first lip product I’ve tried that hasn’t dried my pout. – Danielle Harvey essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss, £2.30, wilko.co.uk I adored the colour of this lipgloss and think the nude tones on offer are really complementary for brides looking for their wedding day make-up. The most noticeable difference, compared to similar products, was that there wasn’t that typical tacky residue once applied; it’s super-smooth and lightweight. – Danielle Harvey Kevyn Aucoin The Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Cerise I’ve been reading up on how to give myself a fuller pout. Lip liner kept coming up as a top tip, so I grabbed this when it came in. It’s a lovely soft pencil that doesn’t drag when applied, meaning you can create a lovely precise line for your desired look. I couldn’t wait, so I popped it on at my desk and filled it in with lippy straight away! Five-minutes later my colleague commented on what a sharp clean line my lips had. Mission accomplished! – Kelly Andrews
