I n April 2019, the parents of make-up artist Cathryn Kerwin-Rawlinson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. “Looking at the images from their big day made me want to work on a look reminiscent of that era,” shoot coordinator Cathryn tells us. “I love the simplicity of the ‘60s – the shift mini dresses, simple lines, big hair and make-up that’s all about the eyes.” The team shot on location at Hawarden Castle Pavilion at the heart of the Hawarden Estate in Flintshire, just a couple of miles across the Cheshire border. The venue is an old cricket pavilion that’s been refurbished in a retro style, which fit with the shoot’s theme perfectly. 64
