I said from the minute I entered the venue that I’d chosen the best suppliers. They were all amazing, I couldn’t pick just one who went above and beyond as they all did! Jon is a teacher and only had one week off for half term so we went on a mini-moon to Ashbourne in the Peak District. We’re planning a three- week honeymoon to Australia next August dragging the honeymoon period out for as long as possible! Our wedding couldn’t have gone any better and we wouldn’t change a thing. It was extremely windy though and my veil kept flying everywhere. At one point it fell in the pond! I booked Silver Service Singers without telling anybody. The singer, Alex, was dressed the same as the other catering staff, so even I didn’t know which one he was! After the plates had been cleared Alex fell over right in front of Jon holding a wine cooler full of cutlery making a huge crash. He picked up a mic to apologise and burst into Crazy Little Thing Called Love. He had us all doing dance-offs and a conga line. Even the most reserved of our guests joined in. The caterers served butternut squash soup, roast chicken dinner and a plum crumble. Everything was delicious! 42
