Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding - May/June 2019 (Issue 45)
Our place names were handwritten by my mum on natural card and tied around the knife and fork with sprigs of lavender. My lovely friend Phil sang as I walked down the aisle accompanied only by his guitar. He performed three of our favourite songs and then played a set at the tipi during the welcome drinks. He even played my favourite of all – Footloose! I wore a fitted Maggie Sottero dress. I have curves that needed to be seen, or so I was told by the bridal boutique’s consultant! I kept accessories to a minimum except for a vintage head piece to the back of my hair. Be true to yourself and your shape. Make sure you feel a million dollars in the dress you choose and own it! I wore my glasses on my wedding day because that’s how I always am. John wore a suit with a berry-coloured jacket and blue trousers with an open white shirt, brown belt and shoes. He looked so handsome! My four gorgeous bridesmaids each wore a different colour and style of dress. I wanted each of them to have an individual look to complement their shape and personality – it was perfect. REAL WEDDINGS 49
