The great outdoors Debbi and John enjoyed a whirlwind romance before saying “I do” on their personality-filled W-day Images courtesy of Jess Yarwood Photography A n online dating success story, Debbi and John found chatting to each other easy straight away, with a bit of cheekiness thrown in. “I was attracted to the fact that when I mentioned to him I had a daughter, he saw it as positive. He was a family man himself and when I first looked into his kind eyes my tummy did a little dance,” Debbi shares. For John the attraction was in his bride-to-be’s spirit. “I was captivated from our very first phone conversation and became hooked,” he said. “I knew this was the girl for me, a feeling that was cemented when she shushed me in Nandos on our first date and later asked me if I fancied a bake-off, which I’m still waiting for!” They say when you know, you know and Debbi and John were aware very early on that their relationship was going to be forever. So, no time was wasted and John popped the question just three months after they met. He took the traditional route asking the mother-of-the-bride for her daughter’s hand in marriage, to which she responded, “Are you sure?!” It was Valentine’s Day and little did Debbi know that when she ripped open her card inside she would find an engagement ring!
