The Holcombe is owned and run by Alan Lucas and Caroline Gardiner, both trained chefs passionate about growing food, sourcing locally from artisan producers and protecting the environment. Both Caroline and Alan are available to discuss suitable menus and venue decoration with you to make your day the best is can possibly be. What’s more, the whole team is passionate about sustainability and is focused on reducing food waste, and sourcing local, free-range produce; as well as working with suppliers to reduce the use of plastic packaging as much as possible. The venue doesn’t currently hold a ceremony licence, but has recently opened a gorgeous new Mediterranean garden, which offers views across to Downside Abbey, and offers and idyllic spot for wedding celebrations. It boasts custom-built tables, which sit beneath a charming stretch tent and can seat 60 nearest and dearest. Alternatively, if you’d rather stay indoors, The Restaurant can accommodation both summer and winter weddings, and has an open fire to keep the chill off. It too can host 60 loved ones.
