WHERE TO WED The Ballroom overlooks the countryside views and can seat 300 for the ceremonies. It’s a wonderfully flexible space, working for different room layouts and is as perfect for dancing as you’d expect. The wood-panelled North Hall can seat 150. It offers a beautiful backdrop for the vows and is equally flexible. Alternatively, if you prefer a church wedding, St Michael’s Church lies next to the venue and can accommodate 250 loved ones. If al fresco vows are your thing, you have the choice of the Lake Gazebo and the Garden Gazebo. The former is an idyllic waterside setting for 150 guests with adjacent Yacht Club for drinks. The latter can seat 300 and is located on the lawn just off the morning room. A SPACE TO CELEBRATE Receptions are hosted in The North Hall for up to 200 guests. It has a lovely alcove area among its wood-panelled walls, which is the perfect size for bar counters. It’s most often used for drinks receptions, and there’s also an adjacent Sitting Room with beautiful old refectory tables, which can be used to set up an alternative bar area. The Morning Room and Library can accommodate up to 100 nearest and dearest. Using these two rooms together allows guests to easily spill out onto the lawns when the weather permits, and log fires really add to the cosy atmosphere in the winter.
