It’s a 100-yearold building that allows you to really stamp your own mark on it, with plenty of hooks and beams to put up decorations, hang lights and drapes and create a one-of-a-kind venue at an affordable price. THE CELEBRATIONS Receptions are held in the Large Hall, which can seat 100 loved ones around tables, with a stage at one end and a lighting gallery at the other. It also offers access to the changing rooms below. The Small Hall on the other hand, can accommodate 60 nearest and dearest. It’s a useful size for drinks receptions, or laying out the buffet table with access to the kitchen and bar area, which has a glass washer and wine cooler. Built from the local honey-coloured ham stone, the Elizabethan house is close to the marquee and integral to the whole ambience. The gardens are dominated by a massive 400-year-old sweet chestnut, and boast formal lawns, rose beds and colourful borders. There’s also a wooded area complete with gravel paths and a small stream, which can be utilised in your photos. The gardens are available to be enjoyed and used as you wish. Garden games, bouncy castle, street food, ice cream van, garden furniture, a picture story through the trees, jam jars and tea lights are all ideas that couples have brought to these surroundings. THE “I DOS” Ceremonies can take place throughout the year in the Great Hall, seating 75. If the weather is kind, the front porch is also licensed so any number of guests could enjoy the open air while witnessing the formalities taking place before them. THE CELEBRATIONS The marquee can host receptions from May to September, with a seating capacity of up to 200 for the wedding breakfast. You can then welcome an additional 50 loved ones for the evening do, taking full capacity up to 250. It’s fully-lined, heated and carpeted with a bar, dancefloor, stage and tables and chairs ready for you to decorate and bring your theme to life. PLUS... You’ll have access at least one day before and after too as the venue never books back-to-back events. You’re also granted complete freedom to arrange your own catering and music.
