Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 76)

We both love old buildings, and the moment we stepped inside The Tythe Barn at Priston Mill we were speechless. It had a wonderful rustic feel but it was still grand. My dad made us a table plan from copper pipes and a stained timber base – it was simple but effective. We got all our stationery from Printed.com so everything tied in together and matched our theme. The tables had hexagonal Perspex numbers from my friend’s company, Cacti Creations. 40 We wanted the day to be brimming with foliage accented by gold touches. Our florist, Ella from Flowers of Bath, was remarkable and really understood our vision; I can’t recommend her enough. The centrepieces were wild and loose with real wow factor and greenery dressed everything from the top table to the sweet cart. We kept it simple by having a semi- naked cake, with three delicious tiers of Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle. This was finished off with foliage and a rustic gold cake topper. We made the most of the amazing mezzanine by hiring 5ft carnival lights in our initials; it really added the wow factor.
