THE SHIP INN ALVESTON BRI STOL BS35 3LL The Ship is a Grade II listed former coaching inn built in 1589, situated at the hear t of the old South Gloucestershire village of Alveston. Surrounded by picturesque countryside and close to the wildlife havens of the Severn Estuary including the world-famous Slimbridge Wetland Centre,The Ship Inn with its low beamed ceilings open fires and flagstones is the perfect retreat for taylor-made celebrations of all kinds. Serving delicious pub food from an extensive menu with seasonal specials, superb Sunday roasts and a range of fine wines and cask ales,The Ship welcomes guests all day every day whatever the season. We have two beautiful and unique function rooms. Our Avon Room has historic vaulted ceilings and original stone archways adding character to any event. It has a capacity of up to 100 people for a ceremony or buffet style event and a capacity of 80 for a sit down meal with functioning bar that stocks a range of products for your celebration. Our Severn Room is the largest of our function rooms with a functioning bar, removable dance floor and exclusive access to the private garden as well as having a private car park.This room is the jewel in our crown and can cater for up to 120 for a buffet style event or up to 100 for a sit down meal. Both of our function rooms have projectors and screens in place should you wish to display videos or photographic memorabilia.We also have a full Wedding Licence so both the Avon and Severn room are available for ceremonies.
