While there is a contemporary reception, it has been blended perfectly with the individually designed 19 th -century accommodation blocks. The converted stables were inspiration for Birtwick Park in Black Beauty. The eclectic interior consists of black-and-white photography, paintings of historic local places and life-size animal carvings. Masons Restaurant, the former Masonic ceremony room, can host up to 70 attendees. With its neutral décor and private bar, it’s the ideal party place for up to 150 revellers. Newlyweds receive a complimentary menu tasting before their special day, as well as a room with a four-poster bed for their wedding night. The meticulously maintained Walled Gardens and grounds at Goldney House overlook the city and provide an oasis of calm away from the everyday buzz of Bristol. With a pretty rotunda, a shell grotto and various original features, guests can enjoy the serenity of this beautiful space. The Orangery is a wisteria-clad historic building with stone floors, high ceilings and huge windows that let in an abundance of light and provide views of the ornate water canal. It benefits from Georgian-style doors that can be opened up on a warm day to let the outside in. There’s also an exclusive area for the newlyweds to take a breath and freshen up during the day. LET’S CELEBRATE! Ceremonies are held in four spaces. The Rotunda is an intimate building that can hold up to 14 people. Larger groups will be suited to either The Mahogany Parlour, with its intricately carved fire mantel, or The Music & Drawing Room. The largest space, The Orangery, has space for up to 150 loved ones. With flexible areas available, receptions can be held for between 12 and 150 guests.
