24 LEIGH COURT 01275 373 393 | leighcourt.co.uk WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Shielded from the bustle of Bristol city by Leigh Woods, this honey- coloured Grade II* listed mansion was designed by architect Thomas Hopper for Bristol’s first recorded millionaire, Sir Philip John Miles. Built in 1814 from Bath stone, its graceful Palladian architecture includes grand columns and terraces. Inside, its bold Greek-revival style is showcased through original features, a stunning floating staircase and an ornate ceiling. Sweeping lawns that lead to fields and woodland provide plenty of space for a marquee, a tipi or an outdoor reception. LET’S CELEBRATE! All of the ground-floor rooms are licensed for ceremonies. The Great Hall has the capacity for 110 loved ones to watch an elegant bridal entrance down the sweeping staircase, while some couples favour the grandeur of the blush-coloured Morning Room or the exquisite golden Tapestry Room. The Library and The Salon are perfect for couples who want a ceremony room that spills out on to the lawns. Receptions can take place for up to 400 invitees in one or all of the ground-floor rooms, or a marquee can be hired separately for even bigger parties. ST GEORGE’S BRISTOL 0117 929 4929 | stgeorgesbristol.co.uk WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Located in the heart of Bristol, this venue sits within its own secluded formal gardens, a lovely spot for arrival drinks and lawn games. Set back from Park Street, it’s easy to forget you’re so close to the city. Coupling Georgian elegance with modern sophistication, this Regency-era former church has recently undergone a £6.5million renovation project to modernise facilities and create new spaces to work in harmony with the existing building. The original parts boast many period features, including classical columns adorned with fairylights, while the new areas are simple and modern with exposed concrete walls. LET’S CELEBRATE! As a former church, it’s not possible to hold a legal ceremony here, but non-religious blessings are welcomed. Receptions for up to 180 friends and family can be held in the Main Hall. With its permanent stage and specialist lighting, it makes the perfect party space. For larger groups of up to 300 people, the whole venue can be utilised. Brides and grooms will have the full support of an experienced wedding coordinator to ensure the day runs without a hitch. Dominika Photography edwardtylerweddings.com martinskikulis.com
