Your Somerset, Glos & Wilts Wedding - October/November 2024 (Issue 103)

We had a canopy of fairlights hanging from the ceiling and in all four indoor trees alongside giant illuminated LOVE letters. This all looked so beautiful in the evening, as the lights reflected off of the glass roof. I’d definitely recommend having some guest cameras for the evening. We got some brilliant photos and it was so great to see the wedding from their perspective. We were so happy but it was a whirlwind! It all goes so fast, but it truly was the best day of our lives. We spent 10 days in the Maldives over Christmas. Joe planned it all since he had far fewer wedding responsibilities! It was incredible. We swam with mantarays, surfed, and dined on the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to married life. Try to spend your day making memories with the people you love, and not worrying about the little details. The time with your friends and family will be what you remember months and years from now. Plus, I’d definitely recommend doing a shot before your first dance! We had a baby Guiness and Tequila Rose – it definitely helped the nerves! We had a live singer and a DJ. The singer was fantastic and a real showman, while the DJ kept everyone going with some great wedding tunes. The dancefloor wasn’t empty even for a moment. By the last song, most of the boys (groom included) had their ties around their heads, belting out Angels by Robbie Williams. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. 32
