I wore a Paloma Blanca gown, #P5036. I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted, but I just loved how I felt when I tried it on. My mum cried too when she saw it, which is always a good indication you’ve picked the right dress! I loved the leaf stitching on the bodice of my dress as it was a bit of a nod to our autumn proposal and the special meaning the season has for us. I accessorised with a simple veil and silver leaf/pearl hair pins, along with pearl earrings and a diamond necklace my parents bought for me. The ceremony definitely stood out for us, as did the speeches and evening reception. But the real highlight was the few moments we got to spend together as husband and wife among all the chaos. We had a simple mirror and vinyl table plan and order-of-the-day sign in beautiful, ornate, gold frames. They really fit the simplicity of the venue as well as the Gothic elements of the mansion house. I wanted a loose feel to the flowers, and opted for plenty of foliage with gypsophila and pops of white and pink roses. I was obsessed with our flowers, they were perfect! We also had pew ends and a large arrangement for the table at the top of the aisle. 30
