Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - June/July 2024 (Issue 101)

The tables were named after football stadiums including Stanford Bridge for me and Molineux for my husband who’s a big Wolves fan. Our centrepieces were simple, yet beautiful vases filled with gypsophila and placed on wooden blocks. My bouquet also featured gypsophila as well as roses. It went on the top table in a vase throughout the day. Our florist Kelly was utterly amazing. We had a cold buffet with meats and cheeses supplied by the venue for our wedding breakfast, which was perfect since it was the hottest day of the year. We then had a pizza oven for the evening. We offered guests a snack cart too, filled with pretzels, cheese biscuits, and crisps. The place and table names were vinyl shapes made by my clever sister who went above and beyond with crafts for the wedding. They were spray painted by my dad. We bought badges from Cancer Research UK and Kidney Research UK for our wedding favours. We had a large wooden board with pictures of our loved ones who’ve passed. We would have given anything to have them there. We also did a large frame with pictures of the two of us with our friends and family, challenging people to spot themselves in the photos. We used an old window frame for our table plan as Ollie is a window fitter. 31 REAL WEDDINGS
