The couple chose a pastel colour theme for their laid-back day that included pops of blush pink, pale blue and sage green. “We kept things casual and did not have a formal sit-down meal,” Samaire tells us. “We collected jars and vases and displayed them on each table as centrepieces. We gave Love Heart sweets with personalised wrappers including our wedding date and names as favours and Barry’s mum sourced artificial flowers to decorate the tables and venue with.” The couple had a navy single-tier Cherry Bakewell flavoured cake that was decorated with a gold wildflower stencil and a blush pink wrap with gold edging. “It was finished with flowers to match the varieties in my bouquet,” Samaire says. Guests enjoyed welcome drinks followed by mini afternoon tea of sandwiches, wraps and scones served with clotted cream and jam. “This was followed by a barbecue in the evening,” the couple tells us.
