LOOKING THE PART Carol chose a dress by Justin Alexander. “It was a lace fit-and flare-gown,” she says. “I knew that I wanted a dress with plenty of lace and detail and I fell in love with it straight away, it also featured a lace cape that could be removed during the evening.” Mike wore a dark blue suit and waistcoat teamed with his late grandad’s cufflinks who shared the same initials. “The groomsmen wore grey suits and waistcoats and our beautiful bridesmaids all wore purple dresses that looked stunning,” Carol tells us. TIME TO ENTERTAIN The couple hired the magician Ian Souch who performed while the guests enjoyed canapés. “He was so good and both the adults and children loved him,” Carol says. “We also had a live band who played our first dance song which was Re-arrange by Biffy Clyro and they also performed a set after dinner - we didn’t stop dancing until the end of the night! Our photographer also set up a photo booth after dinner in the engine room. It was so much fun and used by all our guests, we have some great pictures to look back on!” REAL WEDDINGS 45
