Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - December 2020/January 2021 (Issue 86)

42 A special feature in the ceremony room and the reception venue was the large Christmas trees so we styled each one with traditional white decorations and lots of sepia photographs of us and our children which I have kept and put into an album. Every tree had a home for the Christmas season with the venue keeping one, two coming back with us, and the final one gifted to my mum. Finding the ceremony venue was a little trickier but we settled on Bucks County Museum because the room was a blank canvas and the venue is located in the centre of old Aylesbury with its quaint cobbled streets. We knew that we wanted to stick to our budget so we looked at different venues that didn’t have expensive hire charges. I stumbled across Waddesdon Hall online, it’s a local village hall in the centre of Waddesdon and is beautiful. When we first viewed it, we knew that we had found the place for our reception. Pete is from Edinburgh so to reflect this, we opted for plenty of green foliage and thistles in our beautiful wedding flowers. My bouquet was stunning, and our flowergirls loved their fairy wands! Our on-the-day coordinator, Rebecca Moore of The Wedding Spark, expertly arranged our flowers around the reception venue in beautiful displays.
