S ky and Daniel met on a dating app in 2017. “We started messaging one another and Daniel’s first one to me said ‘do you need anything from the shops?’ which made me laugh,” Sky tells us. “I was instantly attracted to him and Daniel says that he was attracted to me because I seemed down to earth and he also liked my smile.” The couple moved in together after a few months of dating and became engaged when Sky proposed to Daniel. “I asked Daniel to marry me on 10th August 2018 after mentioning a few things about weddings and getting a bit impatient so I thought why not!” She tells us. “I thought I would surprise him so, for his birthday, I planned a long weekend away to Bruges. He knew nothing about where we were going until we boarded the train bound for St. Pancras International station in London where we were booked on the Eurostar,” Sky explains. “On the train, I gave Daniel an envelope containing the details and tickets for our trip along with a letter explaining my thoughts about us getting married, and a collage and poem that I had created saying ‘Marry Me! There’s nobody better for me than you, and nobody better for you than me. He opened it and read the contents and said ‘yes’ with a very shocked expression on his face! After getting over the initial shock, we had the most wonderful trip where we purchased my engagement ring.” Here, Sky tells us about their wedding at CourtGarden House in Marlow where they chose to have an afternoon tea as their wedding breakfast. pop
