Once again, we incorporated a Protea flower on the top of the cake with some roses and kept it classic with a gold layer for a bit of a twist! The meadow arrangements in the chapel and the hanging arrangements from the beams in Stoke Place were especially beautiful. I also liked that Sarah re-used all the arrangements from the chapel later in the day. Because the flowers were a real focal point for us, we decided to use the bicycles that Stoke Place had on-site and our florist filled the baskets with blooms! Our place names were laurel leaves with each name hand-written in gold. My brother did a great job of collecting the laurel leaves for us and I had intended to write the names myself, but everything got a bit manic the day before so one of my bridesmaids (and future sister-in-law) stepped in and did it!
