REAL WEDDINGS 39  Claire and John’s special day at the stylish Trunkwell House Hotel followed a white, blush pink and grey colour theme Images courtesy of Summers Photography SUMMER Claire Ferris married John Rimmer on 6 th June 2019 at Trunkwell House Hotel in Reading, Berkshire. C laire and John first met at school but were never close friends with John being in the year above. “After we left school, we both went our separate ways with me off to study and John off travelling to Australia,” Claire tells us. “It wasn’t until one Christmas Eve in The St George & Dragon local pub in Wargrave that we met back up and he asked me out on a date - that Christmas changed my life!” The couple became engaged two years later on Christmas Eve in 2017. “John had very sadly lost his father and wanted to implement a change in his life,” Claire tells us. “He had secretly asked for my parent’s permission for my hand in marriage which meant a lot to me because he knows how close I am to them and he walked me to the church where his dad is laid to rest and proposed to me there.” Here, Claire tells us more about their special day decorated with a white, blush pink and grey colour theme. love
