Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 82)
43 LOCAL INSPIRATION beautiful O wner, Emma Deeley of The Tythe Barn, Launton, shares how this inspirational shoot came together, “The Tythe Barn in Launton is a welcoming, picturesque family-run farm hosting weddings, corporate events and private parties throughout all four seasons. Comprising a cluster of characterful 14 th -century thatched barns hosting up to 155 guests, a secluded bridal preparation room, an idyllic first- night Shepherd’s Hut and the prettiest wisteria-clad gardens for outdoor ceremonies, The Tythe Barn is the go-to venue for understatedly stylish and undeniably fun occasions. “Katie-Jane Whitlock was the mastermind behind this stunning shoot perfectly situated in the Oxfordshire countryside. I’ve always loved having Katie-Jane and Katie Burt here and over the years, so many of our brides have used them for their special day so when they asked if I’d like to collaborate on a styled shoot, it was an easy ‘yes’! “From the very start, there was no question that the theme should focus on recreating three long standing, always popular and ever-evolving bridal trends – classic, vintage and bohemian – and The Tythe Barn provided the perfect backdrop. The venue is packed with personal style, rural beauty and a variety of textures and materials including stone, brick, terracotta, thatch and wood so the choice of individually styled spaces offered a great range of possibilities to showcase the different looks within the three core concepts. “We involved many fabulous local suppliers – all of which used their full breadth of talent and creativity to offer as much inspiration as possible to brides. From the incredible Penny Blossom for florals to the extremely talented Paul Browse for photography and Anna McDonald who has such a brilliant eye for choosing beautiful gowns.” Classic, vintage and bohemian combine for this stunning shoot Images courtesy of Paul Browse Classically 43
