Becky and Howard’s day was the rustic, floral extravaganza they’d always wanted Images courtesy of Benjamin Stuart 29  B ecky and Howard met at university through mutual friends eight years ago and bonded over their love of sport and uni-lifestyle. “Our first date was spent caving in the Peak District which was not what I was expecting (being terrified of cold water and small spaces),” laughs Becky, “It was certainly memorable! Since then, we have travelled the world together, lived in different countries and finally decided to tie the knot eight years later.” Howard proposed in the Italian lakes whilst the pair were living in Italy. “We had gone away for a long weekend to celebrate our seven-year anniversary and Howard popped the question at a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Lake Maggiore. It was a wonderful surprise and I was blown away to hear that Howard had the ring made months earlier in Sheffield, using Blue John stone which is the cave we spent our first date in.” The big date was set 14 th September 2019, with St Thomas’ Church and North Hidden Barn setting the scene.
