Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 81)

We used the venue’s recommended DJ, DJ Mitch, who was absolutely fantastic. He took our list of songs we wanted for the disco, and mixed them together in such a way that the guests didn’t stop dancing all night! We had full confidence in the The Tudor Barn staff, who worked above and beyond to make our day as special as it was. Debbie (the manager and wedding coordinator of the Tudor Barn) was absolutely fantastic from the moment we booked the venue right up until the big day, in answering all our queries, her helpful advice, and in making sure our day was perfect. Although we were both a little nervous on the day (I more so!), the moment we saw each other down the aisle, we both immediately felt at ease. Seeing each other for the first time definitely was the stand out moment for us, along with guests’ reactions to seeing the venue decorated, and complimenting all the decorations we had taken months to make. Rather than Harry Potter decorations, we chose to decorate the cake with other geeky things we liked. It was a three-tiered sponge cake with a different superhero logo on each tier: Batman, the Avengers, and Wonder Woman, with a silhouette of the Joker and Harley Quinn on top. It did however also have a golden snitch on top to keep the Harry Potter theme going! 38
