Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 79)

We wanted a rustic wedding, and Lains Barn was perfect, especially as James is from Oxford. It looked stunning even before we even added any decorations. On the morning of the wedding, I jumped out of bed to see a bright blue sky. Given that it was the end of November, this was a miracle. My dress was a two-piece; I always imagined myself in a boho-style dress, low back, sleeveless but just couldn’t seem to fall in love with any. As soon as I tried on this outfit, its simple elegance just felt right. We had a buttercream cake decorated with flowers to match the rustic style, and for flavours, we had lemon drizzle, salted caramel and banana and Victoria sponge. 42
