The guests were given chocolate favours in beautiful birdcage-shaped paper boxes and wooden heart keepsakes with our thanks as a memento of the day. Vivian and Mark’s top tip: We chose to have a pub quiz the evening before the wedding, which helped guests to get to know each other and really got people pumped for the big day! We used flower jars with hessian and lace decorations, and between the tables were birdcages, adorned with glittery butterflies in navy, silver and shades of blue. Inside the birdcages were ivory roses set against tiny fairylights. The birdcages rested on hand-painted plant stands. We chose a layered cake made of different cheeses with a custom-made cake topper. Local chutneys were served alongside the cheese. The bridesmaids all received customised fans to keep cool in the hot July weather. The groomsmen received personalised hip flasks. REAL WEDDINGS 57
