Choose stipa, pennisetum, panicum and setaria grasses to mix in with physalis, dahlias, roses, carthamus, Tom Pierce chrysanthemums and maybe even dried helichrysum flowers. And don’t forget foraged berries, cones and mini squashes to add to the autumnal atmosphere of your wedding décor. – Sandra, Lark Rise Flowers Calla lilies are great, as they add structure to designs, along with roses, dahlias and big blousy hydrangeas. Seasonal berries will add texture to bouquets and arrangements, and woodland favourites like pine cones and twigs give a real nod to the season. We are seeing a trend for autumn’s classic palette of orange and red being replaced by softer pastel shades of dove greys and dusky pinks, combined with rich reds and purples. Muted shades of white, green and grey are a favourite for winter, with roses, spray roses, hydrangea, anemones, bouvardia and ranunculi being widely available. Cool blue, silvery grey and snowy whites are the perfect colour combination to inject some winter sparkle into your big day. Or go for a timeless winter wedding look of deep red combined with delicate cream. Sumptuous deep-red roses and red hypericon berries steal the show, and this classic combination has just a hint of Christmas about it without feeling too festive. – Lucy, Seventh Heaven Dahlias have been a popular flower for many years, but in recent times they have expanded the styles and colours to incorporate some striking large-headed blooms for real statement pieces. These work well through late summer into autumn and winter months, bringing those lovely deep tones and multiple petal formations to bouquets and displays. And don’t forget the firm favourite for all seasons: the hydrangea. That’s purely based on the soft fluffiness of the blooms, which works wonderfully interspersed with smaller flowers for bouquets and stand alone for statement pieces. The colours cover right through all the seasons, from the fresh crisp whites and the blush tones to strong blues and the earthy green tones for autumn and winter. – Tracey Ricci, Floribundi floribundi.co.uk floribundi.co.uk larkriseflowers.com larkriseflowers.com larkriseflowers.com larkriseflowers.com
