Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding - Apr/May 2019 (Issue 76)

For the centrepiece, we had a blue cushion, a glass slipper and lights in a vase on a cake stand. For the welcome board, we had a Cinderella-style clock, and images from the story were the table name pictures. We made donations to charities instead of getting favours for people. Our cake was a showstopper. We wanted a subtle themed design and got exactly that. We went for lemon and white chocolate flavours, which were absolutely divine. I couldn’t choose between two wedding dresses, so I got them both! My evening dress was a 1950s-style tea dress with a beautiful lace underskirt, finished off with a dipped neckline and a simple belt with floral details. Our band, The Daisy Belles, performed music from the 1940s right up to the modern day. The dancefloor was never empty. The day was incredible, filled with so many moments that have become very happy memories, but we were really able to take it all in on a beautiful moonlit journey in an 1955 Austin Princess Limousine, spending the time talking as husband and wife. Candice and Danny’s top tip: Take time for yourselves. Your guests are there for you, not the other way around. REAL WEDDINGS 55 
