I t’s not always love at first sight. Candice and Danny met at work, but there were a few diversions on the way to true affection. “I thought Danny was very arrogant, and he thought I was stuck up,” says the bride. “Danny was a serial dater and would tell me about them all. It took us a while to realise that what we were both looking for was right in front of us.” Two years after their first date, Danny proposed on a trip to Bath. It took Candice a moment to get over the shock: “I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, so of course I said ‘yes’. My mum had known, as he had proposed with my grandmother’s ring, which I always adored. Wearing her ring meant everything to me and my mum.
