We enjoyed the quieter moments of the day together – time alone just after our ceremony was important for us to take it all in. We hired a flower wall in our colour theme for the entrance to the hotel suite where our celebration was to be held. It provided a great spot for our guests to take photos and selfies. For our cake, we used Maxine Patisserie, a local baker that we found online. We scheduled a tasting meeting and Maxine was friendly and informative. We knew that we wanted a simple cake design with no frosting, two tiers and with floral decoration provided by our florist. We were thrilled with the result - our guests commented how delicious the cake was! For our place names, we used the design from our welcome signage. A handy tip is to have guests’ menu choices printed on the back of their place names in case they forget what they ordered! Our stunning autumn-themed table centrepieces were created by our florist Clare from the Little Flower Stall Florist. We took her advice and chose taller stands to make an impact but also ensured that people could chat with one another across the tables easily. We trusted her expertise and used our wedding signage as a guide for the colours and flower varieties that we liked. She did an amazing job and many of our guests commented on them. “Having our couple portraits taken was enjoyable because we got on well with our photographer Gabby and our videographer Pav. They were both so friendly and made the process fun! We added some DIY touches to the evening with a sweetie table and crisp display which were enjoyed by all! Clare also made our bouquets, buttonholes and ceremony room displays with our autumnal theme in mind. She added her own creative, expert touch and we were both thrilled with the results. “Our guests managed to drink the bar dry of Guinness so one eager guest utilised Deliveroo to top up their stock!” - Nicole and Andy 38
