Sam and Ben met at university back in 2013. “We were in the same college and became friends very quickly,” they tell us. “We both share a good sense of humour and we think that attracted us to each other!” Ben proposed on Halloween on the way back from attending a local pub quiz one evening. “He managed to keep it a complete surprise as it just felt like a normal evening out, which made it even more special,” Sam says. SETTING THE SCENE “Stanlake Park Wine Estate in Twyford, Berkshire was such a beautiful venue with lovely gardens and we both wanted to be outside on our wedding day as much as possible,” Sam and Ben tell us. “It provided a great space and could cater for plenty of guests which was ideal because we both have big families. We wanted a barn wedding decorated with romantic fairylights and a fantastic space to make our own which is what this wonderful venue offered.” Sam and Ben thought they would feel nervous on the big day but as soon as their ceremony started, they both relaxed and loved every minute of it. “Seeing each other at the ceremony and being surrounded by our loved ones was a wonderful feeling,” they tell us. “We loved the confetti throw too – the photographs of this looked beautiful!
