The traditional 15th-century inn – located in Nether Westcote – is a hidden gem for food and wine lovers, offering a high-quality restaurant with rooms. It also provides a wonderful wedding venue that’s perfect for all seasons. The award-winning, English sparkling grower-producer has collaborated with The Feathered Nest for a summer offering served on their beautiful terrace overlooking the Evenlode Valley. The terrace features a bespoke Rathfinny bar with ice buckets, cushions and blankets, perfect for guests to relax and unwind with a glass of Sussex. Highlights include the Dover sole with 2020 Mini Cuvée and Rathfinny 2019 Classic Cuvée with the tuna and 2019 Rosé with the strawberry dessert in the six-course tasting menu. Ever a food-friendly sparkling wine, the 2019 Classic Cuvée and Rosé is also offered with the quintessential English afternoon tea which features a selection of four finger sandwiches using fresh, seasonal ingredients such as home-smoked salmon and cream cheese and garden cucumber, accompanied with scones and a selection of cakes. Guests will also have the first opportunity to try Rathfinny 2020 Mini Cuvée in the newly legislated 50cl format, following a successful launch in the spring. This innovative bottle appeals to growing consumer trends in drinking less but better-quality wine.
