Our cake was made by Simon’s mum’s friend and we spent a long time designing it to match with our theme – it turned out perfectly. The four-tier design consisted of a red velvet layer, a carrot cake, a chocolate layer and a fruit cake. The handmade chocolate favours were intricate and pretty, we had some of the guests take them home and put them on display. “Walking through a sparkler arch at the end of the night and being driven to Danesfield House to spend our first night as husband and wife was a dream!” - Rebecca and Simon The speeches were heartfelt and perfect. The groomsmen wore the same suits as Simon’s but their ties and pocket squares were plain blue to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Our bridesmaids looked beautiful in their sky blue, square-neck, full-length dresses. They had a split up the sides and bows on the shoulders. They also wore blue hairpieces to tie in the look. We had a brass band perform who started their first set outside as the sun was setting. Everyone was relaxed, mingling and playing games – exactly as we had planned and hoped for. They also played during our first dance. Scan to view video 35 REAL WEDDINGS
