Liv and Louis were friends for years having met at a 16th birthday party of a mutual friend. “It wasn’t until the summer of both our final years of university that we became a couple,” they tell us. “We enjoyed a long-distance relationship for a year and the rest is history.” The couple became engaged in a surprise proposal during a weekend away in Oxford. “We were celebrating our fifth anniversary and Louis had been telling me for months beforehand that he wasn’t ready for marriage to throw me off the scent!” Liv says. “I had no idea that he was going to ask me to marry him so it was the best surprise! Louis got a bit nervous and ended up proposing three hours earlier than he meant to - I think it was because he just couldn’t wait any longer! It was the perfect proposal in private in our hotel room with plenty of champagne.” SETTING THE SCENE Liv and Louis chose the stunning Stoke Place as their wedding venue. “We loved the grounds and the lake because we had always pictured ourselves getting married outside,” they explain. “It was close by for our loved ones to be able to attend and it held sentimental value because Louis lost his dad not long before we got married and it meant we could have some wedding photographs taken in the same places where he had photos “Louis was so happy all day but I was nervous walking down the aisle.
