THE POST, NEWBURY This contemporary English oak barn wedding and events venue is nestled in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. Ceremonies for up to 150 guests take place in The Post; outside under the arch by the main lawn or beneath the pergola on the lower lawn (al fresco ceremonies are weather-dependent and the decision can be made the evening before). The ceremony charge of £600 during 2024 and 2025 covers the setup and turnaround for the reception. Outdoor ceremonies are available at an additional set-up charge of £200 and the venue hire includes exclusive use of The Post and grounds all day until midnight for a minimum of 30 guests, or up to 150 people for a sit-down wedding breakfast and a maximum of 220 loved ones for the evening reception. The Post offers a variety of wedding packages and can also tailor-make a package to suit each couple’s bespoke needs. The Classic package includes a three-course wedding breakfast from the classic plated menu; one glass of sparkling wine per guest during the reception and half a bottle of house wine per person with a glass of sparkling wine to toast. The Deluxe & Feasting menu includes the above (with dinner chosen from the Deluxe menu) plus prosecco and chocolates while the Luxury package includes two glasses of Tattinger at a champagne reception; a three-course dinner from a luxury plated or feasting menu and half a bottle of wine from the luxury dinner menu. Extras that can be incorporated into the day include a selection of three canapés, a variety of British cheeses, a soup course and pizzas served during the evening. Wedding accommodation can be reserved for up to 30 guests and Snelsmore House Dressing Room, a beautiful light and airy space can be used for the bridal party to get ready on the morning of the wedding.
