An Essex Wedding - Page number 46 - May/June 2021 (Issue 98)
The cake was due to be a rustic sponge with flowers to match my bouquet, but our supplier wasn’t able to ma ke it at short notice, so we bought Marks & Spencer Colin and C onnie the Caterpillar cakes instead! We like that we can now eas ily have our wedding cake on our anniversary. We allowed the season to inspire us and went for an autumnal feel. Our flowers, which had to be reordered at a day’s notice, were in deep oranges, burgundy and purple, and comprised gerberas, chrysanthemums, cala lillies, poppy heads and eucalyptus. On the tables we had wine bottles filled with fairylights. That Amazing Place was ideally located for us – right between my family in Essex and Jon’s family in West London. The venue is all encompassing and the hosts are so flexible, giving you the freedom to have what you want. 46
