Angie at the venue removed all of that stress and made everything run seamlessly. We stayed the night before and had free rein of the place. It made me feel so settled in the morning knowing everything was in place and I could just enjoy having my hair and make-up done – and drinking champagne! There were nerves and excitement on the day. Especially when I was surprised with a card and diamond earrings from Laurie to open before the ceremony – I couldn’t wait to see him! At the end of the day, it’s all about having your loved ones there to enjoy your special day with you. Laurie and his groomsmen looked dashing in navy tuxes. The groom stood out in an ivory bow tie, while the others wore lilac. My bridesmaids were stunning in beaded mink- coloured maxi dresses. I fell in love with my Demetrios dress from Amorae Bridal straight away. It was a fitted lace style with a mesh back. I accessorised it with Jimmy Choo shoes with our wedding date on the sole. My something new was a bracelet I bought myself with money from my nan, and Laurie’s nan’s wedding ring was my something borrowed . Both these amazing ladies sadly passed away before the big day and it was important to us to remember them. 54
