The Arlington Ballroom is a fabulous Art Deco building dating back to the 1920s. It was originally a music hall where residents of Southend and Leigh would dance, socialise and enjoy live music. When purchased by William and Susan Verner in 2012 it had lost its charm, but the family soon rejuvenated this piece of local heritage while keeping true to its roots. Let’s celebrate! The stylish ballroom (up to 140 ceremony guests and 250 reception guests) has high ceilings, a stunning chandelier, black granite pillars and a mirrored mezzanine level with a grand piano. Guests can arrive in style with a red-carpet entrance. After the ceremony, the room is transformed into a reception space while parties enjoy drinks and canapés. The optional addition of ceiling drapes and mood lighting creates a magical atmosphere, while the dedicated gin and cocktail bar will get loved ones in the party spirit.
