Tweed is very on-trend, whether it’s just a waistcoat or a full suit.” – Rachel Robinson, Dapper Chaps Formal Wear “We saw diverse trends in 2019. Firstly, a move back to traditional morning suits and double- breasted waistcoats. The polar opposite of this was quirky lounge suits and waistcoats in bold checks. Bespoke well-considered outfits will be the most desired look for 2020 grooms.” – Marc Moore, Jack Bunneys GORGEOUS GROOMSMEN Traditional? Dapper? Quirky? Casual? The chaps have never had so much choice when it comes to wedding attire. “When I first started in this business, nearly every wedding party hired grey top hats and tails. There were various shades of grey and lots of different waistcoats and cravats, but other than that, most men wore the same attire. Fortunately, fashions have changed and gentlemen have a huge choice, with the most common style now being a navy lounge suit.” – Marc Moore, Jack Bunneys “The neckwear of choice for the last five years has been a regular tie, and this is set to continue – I can’t see a return to the cravat any time soon. Grooms will continue to invest in bespoke fitted shirts, high-end shoes and hand-picked accessories such as ties, cufflinks and tie pins.” – Marc Moore, Jack Bunneys matalan.co.uk jackbunneys.co.uk DRESSING THE BRIDAL PARTY 73
