Minty was our family bus and always attracted attention when we went for days out! You can be one of the first couples to get married at The Hare’s Field, a new bespoke venue deep in the Essex countryside. Set on Parsonage Farm on the outskirts of the pretty village of Wethersfield, the venue is owned by Mick and Fiona, who have been Wethersfield residents for more than 25 years. After being approached by a couple who wanted to tie the knot in this idyllic location, the idea was formed to restore the on-site barns as the perfect place for couples to celebrate their wedding. It’s also recently received its license so vows can be taken here too. Catering for parties of up to 60 people, Hare’s Field is perfect for intimate gatherings surrounded by rolling countryside – they even welcome dogs! A big part of my job is talking to lovely Essex couples after their wedding in order to write about their day. What I love about attending shows is getting to see the excitement of couples who are still in the planning stages – getting ideas, choosing palettes, discussing themes – there’s always such a buzz at our shows. Some couples rock up freshly engaged to get started on the wed-min, whereas one bride I was chatting to was only a few weeks away from saying “I do” and came on a mission to tick off the last thing on her to-do list – booking her wedding transport. The suppliers exhibiting absolutely nailed it and turned the Brentwood Centre into a wedding heaven. A special shout out has to go to the amazing Lynne Floral Art (lynnefloralart.co.uk ), who created the most incredible fresh flower wall. Couples took their photos in front of it and shared the snaps on social media in order to win the opportunity to have their big day grace the pages of one of our County Wedding Magazines.
