An Essex Wedding - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 87)

We’re not normally cake fans, but we did enjoy a big slice the day after the wedding! The creation was a Tiffany-blue ombré design with a personalised cake topper, which had our initials either side of a treble clef. We also treated our guests to cupcakes and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The table numbers were made from 6-inch vinyl records while the table plan featured discs with our loved ones’ names written on it. We made confetti from old manuscript paper including sheets by our favourite artist. No one would’ve known, but it was special to us. I’ve celebrated many special occasions at Great Burstead Church in Billericay, so I knew I wanted to get married there. We looked at several reception venues but instantly fell in love with Crondon Park. We loved the garden, fountain and the fact it was one open space so our guests wouldn’t get split up. From the start, we wanted classic, neutral floral arrangements. We added the wow factor to our tables with geometric terrariums. To tie it all together, the geometric pattern was reflected in our stationery. We loved the modern look and felt it wouldn’t date. 46
