An Essex Wedding - Mar/Apr 2019 (Issue 85)
71 REGIONAL SHOOT Regional suppliers team together to create a gorgeous shoot in the heart of the county Images courtesy of Purple Pear Tree Photography Boho babe M ost of you will have an idea of the dress you’re after for your big day but may panic when your chosen style doesn’t quite fit with your venue. Nicola Poole of Bridal Reloved, Maldon has some stellar advice. “Whatever your venue or theme, choose the dress you want. It doesn’t matter if you have a ballgown and a tipi in a field. If that’s how you want your day, then do it your way.” For this pretty shoot the team wanted to achieve a laid-back boho festival look while using lots of bold colours. The venue was the perfect setting to create the feel for the day, which was decorated with funky festival-coloured LOVE letters while the tables were adorned with a mixture of silver candlesticks and gin bottles. These were then paired with gorgeous summer blooms. The cake had a simple design and incorporated foliage and flowers, while the stationery followed the style with a hint of elegant glam. “We opted for gowns from top designers Ian Stuart, Jenny Packham and Jasmine Couture, bringing it back to having any dress at any venue we then teamed them with wellies, a leather jacket and even a barefoot look,” adds Nicola. “Our model had barely-there make-up with a soft and romantic braided bun, finished with an elegant hairpiece.”
