An Essex Wedding - Mar/Apr 2019 (Issue 85)
“Ashley did an amazing job planning our nuptials. You’re never going to please everyone, but make sure your guests are full of food and your new wife is always smiling.” – Ben. Seeing Alfie and Ben dressed in suits was a real highlight, and knowing I shared the same surname as them both, left me feeling on top of the world. For our centrepieces, we opted for wooden log slices with jars decorated with fairylights, fresh flowers and white table numbers. We hired the amazing magician Jamie Segrave to keep our loved ones entertained while we had our pictures taken. Our guests were gobsmacked by his tricks and some even took his card in case they want to book him themselves – he was brilliant. A DJ was included in the venue’s package, he kept our guests dancing to our favourite tunes. We also asked him to play some cheesy music to get everyone up on the dancefloor, which he was more than happy to do. “We wanted favours that wouldn’t get left behind and also benefited causes that were important to us. Sadly, my nan and Ben’s grandad passed away a few months before our big day, so we gave our guests British Heart Foundation and Alzheimer’s Society charity pins, which everyone wore with pride.” – Ashley.
