As I was leaving he said my husband was a lucky man, which left me confused as I wasn’t married. He assumed I was because I was wearing a Pandora band on my ring finger.” The couple later connected through Facebook. They spoke every day and soon started dating. Ben later asked for his future bride’s hand in marriage at their first home. “It was our son, Alfie’s first Christmas and Ben had previously told me he didn’t ever see himself getting married so I’d come around to the idea,” shares Ashley. “He proposed on Christmas Eve and I was shocked and overwhelmed at his change of heart – it was so special.” Here the bride tells us more about their special day... 57  REAL WEDDINGS Ashley Louise Ahearn, 24, married Ben Aaron Clements, 30, at Smeetham Hall Barn on 14 th June, 2018.
