An Essex Wedding - Mar/Apr 2019 (Issue 85)

One fine day A blush, champagne and gold colour palette set the tone for Emma and Lyndon’s nuptials Images courtesy of Kelsie Low Photography E mma and Lyndon first met through mutual friends in a Basildon nightclub. “I’d arrived later than the rest of the group as I’d been out for dinner for my brother’s birthday,” shares the bride. “We hit it off pretty much straightaway and he found it amusing I was still wearing my coat on the dancefloor. We were both attracted to each other and sarcasm then kept the conversation going.” The groom-to-be surprised his future bride with a trip to Paris on their fifth anniversary. “Lyndon told me we were going to Kent so that I didn’t get thrown by crossing the Dartford Bridge, however, he continued to drive to Folkestone and the Eurotunnel. We arrived in Paris and he’d booked a beautiful suite at Hotel Edouard VII with a balcony overlooking the Opera House,” adds Emma. “I asked so many questions that he ended up proposing that night, even though I later found out he planned to get down on one knee the next day during a private tour of Maison Mumm, the home of the champagne brand, which is usually closed to the public.” Here the bride tells An Essex Wedding more about their special day...
