Danielle says: Firstly, the cut is important for a contemporary silhouette, opt for slim-fit for both the trouser and jacket. When it comes to colours, variations of blue are still proving popular from navy to cobalt blue. This hue is easy to accessorise as it complements any colour scheme. Although the ‘rustic’ trend is evolving into a more country-chic-vibe, tweed is still a great, versatile look fitting to rural venues – to make this style on-trend, have your groomsmen in mismatched tweeds. For the fashion-conscious, a truly classic look that will never date is the black tuxedo – suave, sophisticated, you can’t go wrong, a modern touch would be to include a personalised monogram in the lining of the jacket with the wedding date and initials. Ayshea says: I’ve found for the past couple of years couples have been looking for a more relaxed style of photography. Whereas this wedding season they want images that tell a story in a very authentic way. They want to look back at their photos and know that their guests had a brilliant time too. There’s less of a requirement for formal portraits. Instead, lovebirds want to see themselves having fun, smiling and looking gorgeous on their big day. The key for me as a photographer is to make the images appear effortless and natural. I find the perfect backdrop and prepare the area with additional lighting and props, so newlyweds walk in feeling like there’s been no additional work done. What styles would look good for their mid-length to long locks? Tara says: There are lots of options available for mid-length hair. If you’ve chosen a rustic country theme, then a half-up-half-down look with plaits either side, and fresh flowers would look wonderful. A soft, unstructured, up do would suit most people, the curls create volume which is perfect for bridesmaids with textured locks. If you’re having a traditional theme in a stately home, a low bun with added height works well, and it’s a style that can be tweaked to suit each person’s needs. Adding ornamentation, like combs can beautifully finish off this classic and timeless look. Keep in mind that certain dresses suit different hairstyles. Opt for various looks and remember your best girls don’t have to look the same. Often the same style can look completely different on various heads.
