I wanted to go for a very classic look. I chose a gown by Veni Infantino for Ronald Joyce. Hiring a videographer was a last-minute decision but being able to actually watch the wedding back in real time and cherish moments (especially with older relatives) is really special. It also gives you a good insight (as the bride) to much of the early part of the day you never see, such as people arriving and greeting each other. Andrew Kelly was our magician. Everyone thought he was amazing. We had him entertaining in between courses and was there to greet our evening guests as they arrived for the party. The most nerve-wracking part is the interview you end up doing separately with the registrar – we were completely convinced we’d filled something in wrong. The singer, Alex Banks, was absolutely fantastic and performed excellent covers of a range of swing/big band classics. We also had a DJ to carry us late into the evening. We opted for tall, rectangular centrepieces to house the flower displays to not block our guests from speaking to each other across the table. For the top table, we went for a giant spray of greenery to complement the gold of the place cards. A moment that stood out for Charlie was seeing me walk down the aisle for the first time. 47 REAL WEDDINGS
