We had a big light up sign saying ‘Some things just go better together’ – this reflected our first dance song lyrics. Each flower vase was named with a place we’d been on holiday over the past few years. A photo frame had a picture of both of us from that place. John, our photographer, put us at ease as we don’t normally have a lot of photos as a couple! John was also the photographer for my sister’s wedding, so to have him there and see my sister with her family two years on, really made it feel extra special. The cake was three tiered and very simple, with a dash of pearls on to reflect our new name. Emily put together the luggage cases (and handwritten labels) to match the travel theme – these acted as the place names – the cases had Mark’s favourite sweets in. 39 REAL WEDDINGS
