Autumn Dreams Lucy and Ricky’s wedding was an autumnal-themed extravaganza Images courtesy of Liam Gillan Photography Lucy and Ricky both work for the NHS and met in typical fashion through work. “I have to admit it was Ricky’s hair that first caught my eye!” shares Lucy. Fast-foward to the all important question and Ricky proposed when the couple were on route to a holiday in the Maldives in February 2019. “Ricky had planned to arrange a romantic meal on the beach for when we arrived but had been unable to as a storm was predicted,” recalls Lucy. “He decided to avoid the risk of the ring being found and decided to do it as we were leaving for the airport. Although a picture-perfect moment in the Maldives would have been a lovely proposal, having the special moment in our home meant more. We were then able to go on holiday and enjoy being recently engaged. It was truly a once in a life time holiday.” The big date was set for 8th October 2021 and Leez Priory in Chelmsford, Essex set the scene for their autumnal-themed nuptials.
